I'm happy to announce I've sold my first young adult novel THE FIREBUG OF BALROG COUNTY to Flux Books. After getting an offer sheet back in March, today I officially signed the contract and mailed it in.

Dark times have fallen on Balrog County and Mack Druneswald, a college dropout with a love of clandestine arson, is doing his best to deal. While his family is haunted by the specter of his mother’s death, Mack spends his days working at a hardware store and his nights roaming the countryside, looking for something new to burn. When he encounters a pale Goth chick named Katrina, Mack sets out on a path of dissipation and pyromania the likes of which sleepy Balrog County has never seen before.
The Firebug of Balrog County is about legend, small towns, and the fire that binds us all together.
FIREBUG will coming out in Fall of 2015!
